Our story started back at Syracuse University… Well, sort of, anyway. But this definitely isn’t your typical "love at first sight" kind of story.

It was sophomore year, and friends decided to play matchmaker, setting us up on Allison’s sorority's date night. Sure, we hit it off, but nothing more came from that initial encounter.

We were friendly acquaintances during the remainder of college… other than the occasional run-in at Chucks. But life has had a funny way of surprising us.

After graduating from Syracuse and moving to NYC, our paths continued to cross. Sometimes we’d find ourselves in each other's company, sparking a little more than random small talk.

But it wasn't until a bit later on that things took a turn. Out of nowhere, Anthony decided to take matters into his own hands and asked Allison out for a drink. Allison alleges she was confused by the sudden invitation to The Belfry that night, but she agreed to meet Anthony for a drink anyway.

That first date turned out to be the start of something real. The start of something neither of us were expecting.

Fast forward to today, we have spent a half a decade together. These five years have been filled with a million laughs, incredible adventures, countless hungover bacon, egg, and cheeses, and a lifetime's worth of amazing memories – and now here we are, engaged.

From our initial college date night that wasn’t exactly a love story, to Anthony getting down on one knee at the William Vale Hotel, our journey has been a series of unexpected twists and turns. It’s crazy to think how life brought us together in the most unpredictably amazing way.
